May 7, 2022 I was one of the lucky presenters at the Ohio Herb Day event in Gahanna Ohio. It was exciting to meet so many folks excited about growing and documenting their own Herbs.

Monoprints using Herbs & Flowers from the gardenJoin me for a unique monotype printmaking workshop where you will learn to make beautiful one-of-a-kind herb & botanical art prints inspired by your garden. We will provide herbs and flowers and stencils using acrylic pigments. This is a one-day experimental in-studio class. The class is perfect for beginners, or even experienced printmakers interested in learning an exciting new technique. If you love plants and have always wanted to try monotype, this class is sure to motivate and inspire you!

Cyanotype: How to Document your garden with Cyanotypes​
Known as a photographic printing technique, cyanotype is a unique manual process used to create print patterns, used by artists, botanists, and architects for almost 200 years. Through a photosensitive solution that dyes surfaces blue when in direct contact with light, it reveals original prints, with good definition and an intense, unique shade of blue. We will guide you through a cyan-colored journey where science and art mix beautifully.
In this course, you’ll learn all the steps required to create your cyanotype prints with ease; from the preparation of the solution, to the creation of images on paper, to exposing light and fixating color. Discover how to apply your prints onto different surfaces such as paper and wood using plants, flowers, and even objects.
